What a day. We had the good, the bad, and the ugly. Well, maybe not the ugly, but at least the good and bad.
I'll start with the good-- my Capstone. My capstone is the culmination of everything I've done this year in presentation form. In this case, a powerpoint in front of the President, Vice President, and a few select awesome MereCo staff. I wasn't really worried about it, there was no way it could hurt or help my standing here, but was more to celebrate the accomplishments of the last 8 months. It went REALLY well. Everyone was supported and the administration was glad to hear what we've done in the office this year. I only had one question throw me off guard (about Facebook) but I answered it the best I could and afterwards Sam told me I gave a very professional and correct answer, so that made me feel good.
The bad... a fender-bender. Ugh. Stupid Wade Avenue, I'll be glad when I never have to drive on it again. I was behind some girl turning onto Wade from the beltline and she started to go, so I let up on my brake, and next thing you know, WHAM. She had slammed on her brakes, deciding not to go, and I hit her. Smack dab into her bumper. Lovely. Gotta love the law and how it's immediately my fault, and now I must pay. The damage was so light, but knowing a mechanic it will be expensive, and now the chick is going to a chiropractor. I didn't even touch the gas. Ugh. What a miserable end to an otherwise good day.
I'm going to go decompress in front of the tv now.
