Torandos. Not so cool.

Okay, so I was pumped about the thunderstorms. That was until they got really strong and started making funnel clouds and tornadoes, which there apparently is a big difference according to the weatherman, but they both make scary noises, strong winds, and do damage, so to me they are the same. Well maybe not exactly the same, one phenomenon has movies about it, the other doesn't, but still, you get my point.

So anyway, tornadoes and funnel clouds in the area caused the campus security system, MC Alert, to go into full swing and make all people on-campus take cover in a hallway. The siren sounded and next thing I knew a hundred voices were outside my door and the entire building was sitting in the hallway. Most brought laptops or something to occupy the time, others just talked, but it was still an interesting site. There are some pictures below.




But all in all, MereCo is safe, the girls are safe, I am safe. Word is still out on the rest of the area, but I'm sure all is well.
